Use

Permanent magnetic separation chutes with sealed housing of type 19.9-1-... are tried and tested, high-performance, continuously operating separating systems and are intended for the automatic separation of ferromagnetic parts from small-grained or dust-grained material, e.g. grain, plastic granulates, wood chips, blasting sand for jet blasters, etc., for the protection of the machines, grinding and processing plants used. To prevent malfunctions during operation or, in a special version, to recover the steel shot content from the bulk material to be separated.

Design

Inside the housing, a special magnetic system similar to a roller rotates, driven by a geared motor and mounted under a wear-resistant, fixed steel chute. The force field of this system penetrates through the chute plate, catches the individual magnetisable parts to be separated above the chute, carries them along in a sliding motion and discharges them separately from the material flow. The fully enclosed design in the shaft part of the separation chutes ensures seamless operation at all times.

Advantages

The special advantage of this permanent magnetic separation chute is that the chutes stand still and the magnetic systems underneath circulate. With this type of separation, carry-over losses are reduced to a minimum. Permanent-magnet separation chutes work very safely and reliably with virtually no loss of performance. They are easy to install in the bulk material flow, also between existing pipe systems with low space requirements and require no maintenance costs.

Technical description

The separation chute is used for the automatic separation of ferrous particles from the non-magnetic product mixture. The product mixture is to be fed consistently onto the separation chute by means of customer-provided equipment. The integrated magnetic systems separate the magnetic ferrous particles from the mixture. The magnetic systems of the separation chute are powered by a geared motor. The more evenly the product mixture is applied, the better the ferrous particle separation. With composites of ferrous and non-ferrous material, the ratio of ferrous mass to the total mass has a major influence on whether the entire clump is separated to the ferrous area or remains in the product area.

The product mixture passes through the separation chute from top to bottom. The magnetic systems integrated into the housing ensure effective separation of the ferrous particles.

The separated material at the outlet of the separation chute is advanced through two separate chutes (Fe / non-Fe) to the customer-provided transport equipment for further transport. Care must be taken here that the downstream transportation equipment does not create a backup at the separation chute.

When operating the separation chute with dust-forming or dust-creating media, the operator of the separation chute must take appropriate measures to prevent dust explosions. The formation of sparks due to static discharge, induction or when two metal parts strike against one another in the area of the separation chute cannot be entirely ruled out.

The machines are not suitable for use in EX areas.
